Mario seems to do it all. He plays golf on a pro-circuit. He races go-karts. He throws crazy thematic parties. He even practices medicine. Mario seems to have the Midas touch on every franchise he appears in (except without the tragic irony). But why have none of Marios Nintendo colleagues met with similar consistent fortune? At a glance, it would seem as though Mario makes spin-off games better. But upon closer inspection of these games, a startling pattern reveals itself: the Nintendo code.
